ABOUT
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Lans Taylor started playing drums at age six. Throughout grade school, he learned saxophone and other wind instruments. Primarily a woodwind and brass doubler, Lans has experience playing classical & jazz saxophone, trumpet, and tuba in a multitude of collegiate ensembles.


Lans started arranging for his high school's marching band in Upper Arlington, Ohio. His arrangements include stand tunes and the official Alma Mater. In the Spring of his senior year, Lans composed and premiered an original piece for the Upper Arlington Symphony Band, entitled "The Future's Promise". This sparked his passion for composing professionally.

Lans is in his sophomore year at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He plans to graduate in 2027 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Technology - Composition for Media degree.
